Five people hurt after incident in Canning Vale

One person is believed to have died and several others have been injured after a stabbing incident and a auto crash in the Perth suburb of Canning Vale.

About 3.15pm, Police were called to Ranford Road McDonalds in relation to a "disturbance" where a number of people were fighting.

Several people were understood to have been stabbed, with one believed to have life-threatening injuries, police said.

An hour later police were called to Eucalyptus Boulevard where a vehicle apparently ran into a group of pedestrians.

One person, believed to be 16 years of age, is confirmed dead with Homicide detectives and Major Crash officers investigating.


Three other people hit by the vehicle were taken to different hospitals with minor injuries.

A male pedestrian, believed to teenage boy, was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with serious injuries.

Two went to Royal Perth Hospital and the third to Fiona Stanley Hospital.

They said it was a police incident and could not comment further.
