Prior to admitting the farce, multiple social media users had raised suspicions over the validity of the teen's pictures after noticing warped backgrounds and odd angles in some of the photos - tell-tale signs photo-altering software has been used.

"Now I can see that I have something in common with (Angelina Jolie), but I amuse myself, and to look like someone is not my goal".

However, she has now revealed in an interview to a Russian news website, Sputnik, that she didn't intend to look like Jolie nor did she get her face "fixed" 50 times.

Sahar Tabar's story (rather say photos) evoked a social media meltdown at the end of November.

She said, "Every time I publish a photo, I paint my face in an increasingly amusing way".

According to, Tabar wrote in another Instagram account by her name: "Hello relatively dear followers, the picture that you're scrutinising, even though I didn't like it, I kept it in ..."

Sahar Tabar claimed to be obsessed with looking like the Tomb Raider star Jolie, and said she had undergone 50 procedures to look like her - although some noted she actually looked more like Tim Burton movie character Corpse Bride. It is photoshop and makeup.

Last week, Tabar (whose age has been reported as both 19 and 22) abruptly went viral for shocking photos that showed her with exaggerated facial features, cheek piercings, and a gaunt frame. She doctored her selfies in PhotoShop to look like a zombie with pasty dark skin, sunken eyes and an upturned nose. "My fans know that this is not my real face", she said.

Matt and Mike Schlepp spent over $20,000 on cosmetic surgery to look like the Ocean's Eleven actor. "I'm upset and I just want the Iranians to follow my page".

"It was more than worth it". It has definitely helped me get more girls. "This approval is, that's enough for me", she said.
