Oppo F5 Youth with 16MP selfie camera launched at INR 16990

OPPO and Vivo are clearly in the top charts, thanks to the marketing and the not-so-bad phones that they have in the portfolio.

Oppo F5 Youth has been launched in India on Thursday. To recall, the smartphone was first teased at the Oppo F5 India launch last month, and has since been launched in the Philippines.

Oppo F5 Youth earlier was launched in the Philippines in two color variants being Black and Gold. To be fair, it is hard to say one is much better than the other, so we have a comparison done to let you know which is a leader in every aspect that is important to the user.

With regards to the design, the two phones look quite similar, though the OPPO F5 is a little bigger in size. A few millimeters taller and wider, the F5 is slimmer than the V7, with a thickness of 7.5mm compared to the 7.9mm on the V7.

OPPO F5 Youth price in India is Rs. 16,990.

Oppo F5 Youth sports a 6 inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) 18:9 Full View 2.5D curved glass Display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T Helio P23 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM.


The difference here is the F5's 4GB and 6GB RAM options in the 32GB and 64GB storage variants, respectively.

On the imaging front, there is 13MP rear camera with LED flash and f2.2 aperture as well as 16MP selfie camera with f2.0 aperture on-board the F5 Youth.

For selfies, it is mounted with 16MP front-facing camera (20MP was on Oppo F5) with f/2.0 aperture, screen flash with feature of bokeh effect.

OPPO F5 Youth runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with a layer of ColorOS 3.2 UI. It packs a 3,200mAh battery which comes with Quick charging.

After the great success of the F series, Oppo has again come back with the new Oppo F5 variant named as Oppo F5 Youth.
