Wandering the dusty, forgotten halls, once the home of the adventuring elite, she will uncover a mystery that has haunted the Croft family for generations. Now the PC version has been updated a year later to allow Steam users the chance to play this chapter through SteamVR.

Eurogamer's Christian Donlan relished the opportunity to return to Croft Manor when he explored Blood Ties past year, so perhaps you will too! However, as part of the larger Rise of the Tomb Raider experience, I did enjoy my afternoon spent exploring Croft Manor with Playstation VR in hand. However, VR support didn't come with it, leaving Oculus Rift and Vive owners out in the cold.

We really liked Blood Ties when it first released with the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, when we called it a, "well-written narrative experience that's surprisingly but also refreshingly light on the actual gameplay".

The update is free and the Blood Ties chapter itself is included in the game's 20 year Celebration, although if you own the standard edition you can purchase it as a standalone DLC.

Square Enix, and award-winning studio Crystal Dynamics and Nixxes Software today announced that the "Blood Ties" story chapter from the critically acclaimed Rise of the Tomb Raider, is now available for SteamVR and compatible with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift virtual reality headsets.
