Saints running back Mark Ingram injured

The Saints are facing some injuries this week.

Running back Mark Ingram, who ranks fourth in the National Football League in rushing with 922 yards, is also listed as questionable, but he did not practice on Tuesday or Wednesday, leaving his status somewhat in doubt.

The New Orleans Saints will be a little short-handed on the offensive line against Atlanta on Thursday night.

Ingram was listed as being a limited participant in a practice that didn't actually happen.

Ingram is dealing with a toe injury that kept him out of team-related drills on Tuesday.

Ingram didn't appear limited in Sunday's 31-21 win over the Panthers, playing deep into the fourth quarter and finishing with 122 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. An absence would allow spectacular rookie Alvin Kamara to take on a larger workload, with Trey Edmunds and Jonathan Williams providing depth in the backfield. Kamara has been one of the biggest surprises this season, becoming just the third rookie at his position to record at least 600 rushing yards and 600 receiving yards in a single season.
