On Wednesday evening, Karan tweeted, "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow morning!" In the first look poster, Ranveer Singh is donning a cop dress, which means he will be seen playing the role of a cop for the first time in his career. Yes, the filmmaker's next big project after Student Of The Year 2 is Simmba.

Well, on the other hand, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan's film Kedarnath is all set to hit the screens on the same Christmas day weekend with SRK's film. Co-produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions, Simmba is scheduled to arrive in theatres across the world on 28th December, 2018. In the words of Ranveer, he is the "notorious" policeman who will definitely strike a chord with moviegoers. The teaser poster will definitely be loved by those who love the actor for his high on life and carefree attitude. The director has already acquired the rights of the film.

We also spotted an interesting observation on Twitter - "While most actors of his generation do films for an audience that resides between Cuffe Parade & Andheri, Ranveer Singh features in films that are made for the pan Indian market!" We wanted to take four-five scenes from Temper but we thought it's better to buy the rights. "The heroine of the film is not yet finalised, we will start working on it after Diwali", said Shetty in an earlier interview, according to a DNA report. He (Ranveer) connects with the masses and for me, he is a superstar. The character's name, Sangram Bhalerao, only adds to the magic of the first-look. He wrote, "28th December 2018!"

But Rohit Shetty has averted the clash by pushing the release date of Simmba by a week.
