A Liverpool faithful talking positively about a United player is a rare occurrence but Marcus Rashford has impressed former Reds veteran, Steven Gerrard to such an extent that he has "hailed" the young lad from Old Trafford.

Since, his form has continued, putting in a superb display against Arsenal in United's ruthless 3-1 away win at the Emirates.

'I had a similar criticism of myself when I played in that position with Didi Hamann or Xabi Alonso - I was eager to get into the box all the time and with experience and age and a bit more maturity, you maybe pick and choose your times where you make your runs forward'.

Pogba shone in last night's Champions League triumph over CSKA Moscow.

Lennon believes Pogba, who has scored three goals and grabbed six assists in 12 appearances this season, is not tactically aware - an idea also supported by Graeme Souness.

Speaking on The Debate, the ex-Liverpool man said: "I would say they'd miss him in any other game".

'He can join the defensive side of Manchester United's game but he can also help the forward players because of his legs and passing ability so he makes them an bad lot of a bigger threat. Souness continued, in reference to Pogba's tendency to drift onto the left wing during the match. He's 24 years old if he's not got it now when is he going to get it?

Driving past two players, holding off Laurent Koscielny in the penalty area before crossing at a ideal height with a flawless weight for Lingard to tap-in to an empty net, that looked like taking a big game by the scruff of the neck to most people. [But] for me the goal was more about Lukaku than Pogba. United fans, at least, know just how good Pogba is.
