Tata Motors announces Jaguar Land Rover sales figures

Land Rover has offered 3 engine options in Range Rover Velar - two models of diesel engine and one petrol version.

Apart from the new Range Rover Velar, the Land Rover Product Portfolio in India includes the Discovery Sport (starting at INR 42.00 Lakh), Range Rover Evoque (starting at INR 44.44 Lakh), All-New Discovery (starting at INR 71.38 Lakh), Range Rover Sport (starting at INR 93.82 Lakh), and Range Rover (starting at INR 166.42 Lakh). The Range Rover Velar is manufactured at the company's flagship Solihull plant in West Midlands, UK where the Jaguar F-Pace, Jaguar XE and the Range Rover Sport are also being developed.

Jaguar Land Rover's operations director Andy Goss stated that November has been a positive month for the company, as it saw robust sales worldwide across all of their key regions.

Overall on geographical basis, JLRs retail sales were higher in overseas market with 19.7% y-o-y growth, followed by China with 19.1%, the United Kingdom with 8.6% and North America with 7.8%. China sales rose 19.1%, Europe sales fell 2.1% and the rest of the world saw an increase of 19.7%.

The month saw the initial sales of its all new compact SUV, the E-PACE, in the United Kingdom and Europe during November. Retail sales of the refreshed Range Rover and Range Rover Sport (including plug-in hybrid variants) are due in the New Year. Deliveries of the New Range Rover Velar will begin from end of January 2018 in India and it would be at loggerheads with Porsche Macan, BMW X5 and Volvo XC60. Suri said the model will be fully imported and the company has received nearly "100 per cent pre-bookings for up to March next year". Suri did not reveal the booking numbers.

Tata Motors' subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reported total retail sales of 52,332 vehicles in November, up 10.0% on November 2016.
