Vehicle hits pedestrians in lower Manhattan, NYPD says

A vehicle jumped a curb and struck multiple pedestrians in a busy section of Lower Manhattan Thursday afternoon, police said.

The crash happened at Broadway and Liberty Sts, near Zucotti Park about 1.20pm local time. The three pedestrians suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to preliminary reports from police.

One of the victims may have been riding a bike, police say.


A auto with a badly damaged front, is on the footpath.

It wasn't clear what caused the driver to jump the curb.
