Nickeil Alexander-Walker, the outstanding true freshman out of Toronto, also had nine points in tonight's contest.

Led by Justin Bibbs and Kerry Blackshear, the Hokies trounced the Highlanders 95-68.

Radford came into this game with victories over mid-major programs such as James Madison and East Carolina. It's clear that Virginia Tech is a force to be reckoned with, and it could pose a tough test for Radford, which lost to Ohio State by 10 and Vanderbilt by 12.

Ed Polite Jr. scored 15 points to lead Radford (4-4), which scored the first four points of the game, but then withered under the Hokies' attack.

Justin Bibbs of Tech was 4 of 4 from the field in the first half, including 3 of 3 from 3-point range. Meanwhile, Blackshear was 4-of-6 from the field, made his only three-point attempt, and was a flawless 11-for-11 from the free throw line.

Blackshear spearheaded a very impressive night at the charity stripe for Virginia Tech. "Against a team like this, when you make mistakes like that, they take advantage of it". Unsurprisingly, the Hokies took care of business in a game that was never really close.

Virginia Tech: The Hokies' future opponents would do well to keep Virginia Tech off the free-throw line. They were 31-of-50 (62%) as a team overall, and 8-of-15 (53.3%) from three point range.

"It was the first game with zero, what we deem, bad shots", Buzz Williams said after the game. "It was our lowest turnover rate. I think those two things are always tied together". He played 30 minutes. Virginia Tech will host Maryland-Eastern Shore on Sunday before they enjoy a week-long break as the team prepares for Kentucky on Saturday, December 16.

Blackshear hit 4 of 6 from the floor and made all 11 of his free-throw attempts. The Hokies made 25 of 31 from the line against the Highlanders and have made at least 20 free throws in eight of nine games this season. He finished the game with 20 points.

Bibbs was absolutely spectacular tonight, shooting 8 of 10 from the floor and 4 of 5 from three-point range to score 20 points.

Bibbs has now made at least one three-point field goal in the last 23 games in which he has played, tops currently in the ACC. Ahmed Hill has made at least one three-pointer in each of his last 10 games, second-best in the ACC behind Bibbs. It is the sixth time this season he has scored in double figures.

The nation's second-leading scoring team certainly did little to hurt its 96.8-point average on Wednesday night.

Justin Robinson scored 11 points. His nine assists were his most this season and only second all-time in his own personal stat book behind his 11 assists last season at Boston College. If the Hokies are going to want to upset Kentucky in a week in a half, they are going to need NAW to have a good game. RU shot 40.7 percent from the field in the half. They've attempted no fewer than 23 in any game and are now shooting 74.8 percent from the stripe. Perhaps more importantly, the Hokies committed just eight turnovers - a season low.
