Arriving as OxygenOS 4.7.4, the new OTA update improves quality of images taken by the camera, whose UI is also receiving few tweaking in the update. OnePlus 5T's weak point continues to be the camera despite the switch to a dedicated sensor for low-light photography. That development appears to be the source for the new OxygenOS update.

The Oxygen 4.7.4 is based on the Android Nougat 7.1.1 OS and it is bound to be appealing to most of the users.

Here's a full changelog from the OnePlus.

OnePlus had earlier stated that December update for OxygenOS will bring improved exposure for selfies alongside beautification mode being always turned on in Asia.

"For those who were on previous versions for OnePlus 5T, we appreciate your active feedback and attempts to reach out to us". It also comes with bug-fixes for some lesser known glitches and general system stability improvements. It also ships with optimizations for face unlock and vibration including Wi-Fi battery usage. "With your help, we have been able to better optimise and improve several key areas", OnePlus' Jimmy Z writes in a forum post.

OnePlus is now rolling out a new update for its OnePlus 5T sets, and even though it's not Android 8.0 Oreo update you were hoping for, it's still one that you wouldn't want to miss.

The update clocks in at 286MB, so if you upgrade your OnePlus 5T to the new software you should first connect your phone to Wi-Fi. So, if you are an OnePlus 5T user and haven't received the software update yet, you may have to wait for some more time, possibly a day or two.

Even though the installation of the update doesn't cause any data loss, it is advisable to capture a backup of data before initiating the download process. The last update also optimised fingerprint scanning features and included some performance enhancements.
