Indian, Pakistan trade heavy fire on LOC in Nowshera sector

Earlier, on December 5, December 3 and November 27, Pakistan had violated ceasefire in Poonch and Jhangar areas of Nowshera sector in Rajouri district respectively.

According to ISPR, Indian army targeted the funeral procession at Chaffar village in Chirikot sector along the Line of Control (LoC), leaving two civilians martyred.

"Two civilians embraced martyrdom and a woman sustained gunshot injuries as result of unprovoked firing by Indian forces", ISPR said.

Pakistan Army responded in a professional manner against Indian aggression and destroyed its post. "Indian positions retaliated strongly and effectively", a police officer said.

As a effect, two civilians embraced martyrdom, while a woman was injured.

On Oct 24, two women were killed and six others wounded in heavy Indian shelling in the Leepa valley of Muzaffarabad division.
