Well, it looks like Huawei wants to take that controversial notch design feature, which is also part of the Android-powered Essential Phone, and put it on one of its upcoming flagships, possibly the P11. However, some other files show that it will support 2244x1080 pixels resolution.

Hot on the heels of rumours that Huawei's next-generation flagship smartphone, dubbed the "Huawei P11", could come with insane camera specifications, a new report on Thursday revealed some surprising details about the phone's design.

An overlay image within the files suggests the company is playing with the idea of a notch and while it isn't possible for the example to be published, XDA Developers has recreated the image, which you can see below. Now, it seems that the upcoming device will feature a bezel-less design with Apple iPhone X-like notch. According to the report, the phone has a 6.01-inch display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution, but the boot animation suggests that the phone uses a 2244 x 1080 resolution. Not so long ago, reports emerged suggesting that the Huawei P11 could feature a massive 40MP triple lens on the back and a 24MP sensor for selfies, Kirin 970 processor, Android Oreo and EMUI 8.0.1 skin on top. Earlier we have seen the same chipset to be fueled on other Huawei phones like Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Honor V10.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is expected to announce the Huawei P11 phone at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event that will be held in February 2018.

Lastly, the device will be codenamed EMILY and the publication will have four model numbers including EML-AL00, EML-L09, EML-L29, and EML-TL00.

Further, the leak reveals that the smartphone will feature a 24-megapixel selfie-camera as well.
