School schedule adjustments due to winter storm

Friday may bring some winter weather to Central Alabama, and with the weather scheduled to move in between 3 and 6 a.m., Vestavia Hills City Schools will operate on a two hour delay.

Grace Temple Christian Academy: Friday, December 8, class will start delayed, at 10:30 a.m. This includes Austin Municipal Courts and the Downtown Austin Community Court.

Edinburg high schools will start school at 9:50 a.m., while middle school students will begin at 9:25 a.m.

Odem-Edroy ISD: Friday, December 8, All classes are canceled.

Orange Grove ISD: Friday, December 8, Buses running on one hour delay, Classes to run on one hour delay.

Hays CISD - Campuses and offices are closed Friday, Dec. 8. School will dismiss at 3 p.m., as usual.

Lockhart ISD - Closed Friday, Dec. 8.

Diocese of Corpus Christi: Friday, December 8, All 18 schools to run on a two-hour delay.

Richard Melburn Academy Schools: Friday, December 8, Classes delayed until 10:00 a.m.

The Mississippi State Department of Health advises the public that the following counties will delay opening until 10 a.m. December 8: Clarke, Covington, Forrest, Green, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Perry, Simpson, Smith and Wayne. School bus pick up times will also be delayed by two hours.

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi: Friday, December 8, start of business delayed until 10 a.m. Elementary classes begin 10 a.m. All calsses scheduled before 10 a.m. are canceled.

Campus staff should report to work by 9 a.m. Essential and clinical staff should attempt to report per shift or contact their supervisor. School buses will be 30 minutes later than normal, according to the district's spokeswoman.
