A four-year-old Palestinian child died in the Gaza Strip yesterday after succumbing to wounds he sustained during the Israeli offensive in 2014 when he was just one years old.

An Israeli tank returned fire.

"The IDF holds Hamas responsible for the hostile activity perpetrated against Israel from the Gaza Strip", the army said in a statement.

"We are aware of the launches of two rockets that fell in the Palestinian territories", an army spokesman told Sputnik.

Gaza residents said there were no casualties from the Israeli attack and that two unmanned lookout posts were hit.

Although there are no specific details regarding tomorrow's intended disruptions, the IDF is preparing for the possibility of renewed rioting along the Gaza Strip border during hours of prayer in Jerusalem, where both Israel Police and IDF Border Police forces have been bolstered.
