The PlayStation 4 Pro version of the game will allow for two different options of play: Cinematic, which will output at 4K targeting 30fps, and Performance, which will run locked at 60fps.

Bluepoint's remake of Shadow of the Colossus is one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusives for the first months of 2018, and Sony has made sure to showcase plenty of material during this weekend's PlayStation Experience.

Yasutaka Asakura, executive producer of Japan Studio, announced the Shadow of the Colossus Special Edition box set will be rife with both physical and digital goodies for fans to snap up quickly. And Performance, which delivers an extremely fluid frame rate targeting 60 fps.

Sony has also shared a detailed visuals comparison for the game that confirms that this is a complete remaster and not a simple HD re-release on the PS4.

Finally, the developer and publisher formally unveiled a Shadow of the Colossus Special Edition, which will launch alongside the full game for $49.99.

Shadow of the Colossus has never looked this good, or moved with this much fluidity. Costing around $50, the set features a steelbook casing with printed manual, PSN avatar and themes, Colossi stickers, art cards, a world map and some in-game cosmetic items.
