He has reached double figures in two of Golden State's last three games, as he tallied 10 points in the team's win over Charlotte on December 6.

Young, in his first season with the Warriors after spending the four prior with the Los Angeles Lakers, is averaging 6.6 points in just over 13 minutes of action per game this season. Durant leads in blocks with 2.1 per game. The Warriors still won't have Curry available but will have another former MVP, Kevin Durant, when they return home and host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.

However, he has proven to be perhaps Golden State's most volatile scorer on the nights when it is least expected.

"Our focus level is just on another level because of the injuries that we have on our team", Durant said.

Klay Thompson chipped in 24 points and four 3-pointers.

The Trail Blazers (13-12) will play the Miami Heat on Wednesday in their second game during the team's current five-game road trip.

The Warriors' offense then heated up in the third period, with Durant scoring nine points and Bell contributing 4-for-4 shooting to the club's 60 percent period (12-for-20) as Golden State threatened to make it a runaway. Lillard is going to have a massive game to keep the Blazers in it and after he torched the Rockets for 36 points including nine 3-pointers, it is clear he is at the top of his game.

Trail Blazers: Lillard notched his 10th 30-point performance of the season.

"I'm always satisfied with any win, but particularly without three starters", said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. "They're the best team in the league right now and we competed and came up short, but we had a lot of good efforts from a lot of different players". "I thought the defense was good for three quarters". "And I think once we cut it to eight, it was just a matter of time before somebody hit a shot".

The Warriors have beaten the Trail Blazers in six consecutive meetings and 10 of 11 over the past three seasons.

TURNING POINT: After Jake Layman made a pair of free throws to tie the score at 32-32, with 10:07 left in the second quarter, the Warriors responded with an 18-6 run to take a 50-38 lead with 3:15 left in the half.
