"Deadpool 2" Teases Film With Second Poster Reveal

It's rather fitting that the Deadpool 2 marketing campaign is as cheeky and unpredictable as its titular lead.

Now, actor Ryan Reynolds has taken to Twitter to show off a brand new piece of art for the flick.

Why yes, that is Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam, one of the most famous paintings from the Sistine Chapel's ceiling, they're referencing, only this version gives Cable his time portal effect as he "body-slides" into the present. It's likely just an excuse for Reynolds and the "Deadpool" marketers to have some fun with PhotoShop, but we suppose you could argue that the image is suggesting Cable plays a key role in creating a new Deadpool in the sequel.

And because Fox's untitled Deadpool sequel is releasing in close proximity to Avengers: Infinity War, comic book fans will be treated to two villainous performances from Josh Brolin - Cable and Thanos, Marvel's Mad Titan. It makes sense then that he also tagged famous museums like The Met, the Getty Museum, the Guggenheim, and the British Museum, but the best part might be that he also tagged the famed Italian eatery Buca di Beppo, because nothing goes with Deadpool art better than family style pasta and meatballs evidently. Deadpool 2 opens in theaters on June 1, 2018.

What do you think of this new poster? We knew things would be different when the very first Deadpool 2 poster was a riff on Norman Rockwell, which itself was debuted in a very special issue of Good Housekeeping.
