Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are a magic onscreen as every movie with them as the lead pair does wonders at the box office.

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt attended the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2017 held in Mumbai on December 15, 2017. Dhawan added, "When SOTY was released, we didn't get any critical appreciation". Alia Bhatt also happened to say the same denying any reports of a movie like "Shiddat" being made. But Alia became so later on for her work and I wasn't critically acclaimed like her. To which Alia quipped, "Why only me?"

On the work front Varun is looking forward for the film October which also stars Banita Sandhu and is now in the post production stage. "Having said that, I received a lot of love from the audience and children".

Dhawan's next "Sui Dhaaga" slated to release in October 2018, shares how he has learnt a new skill which will come in handy, "Now if I have to do fitting for my clothes, I can do it myself".

When asked Varun whether he still feels like a kid at heart, he said, "Absolutely..." The report further states that the film is set in India-Pakistan partition period, so when reporters asked them about the film, Varun refused to answer, he said, "Who told you about that?" Judwaa 2, was also like that. "I feel we should definitely make more film for kids and my upcoming film "October" is quite youth-centric". Alia, on the other hand, has her schedule full with Raazi, Gully Boy and Brahmastra.
