Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has her life support

The Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt, who was involved in a devastating Boxing Day vehicle crash that claimed the lives of her parents and sister, has had her life support switched off.

Home and Away, on which she had her break-out role, tweeted: "Rest in peace, handsome Jessica Falkholt", with a link to a news story about her life support being turned off.

Her parents and sister's funerals took place this week in Sydney.

The 28-year-old has been in St George Hospital with serious injuries since the fiery Boxing Day collision near Ulladulla, on the NSW South Coast.

Annabelle died in hospital a few days after the crash, with Jessica remaining in a coma - unaware that her family lost their lives.

Speaking about his sister Vivian, he continued: "I always thought we would grow old together".


A message on the show's official Twitter feed said: "Rest in peace, handsome Jessica".

"(It's) a day that will be hard to erase from our memory", he told the service, adding the tragic irony was that Lars was renowned for being a careful driver.

Craig Anthony Whitall, 50, also perished in the inferno.

'The irony of this tragedy is Lars was such a careful driver, ' Mr Ponticello said.

'Their lives on this earth ending on a highway makes absolutely no sense'.

Family members of Vivian's family flew from Italy for the service, while a service was also held for Lars in his homeland of Sweden. "We always had a good laugh", he said.

Whitehall was driving home from a methadone clinic when he crashed into the family of four, who were returning from a family Christmas break.
