"Where I am now, which is the east side of my property, I was walking down here and all of my neighbors' homes are gutted", Winfrey told DeGeneres.

"In addition to what's going on in Monetico, I lost my dad this week", the TV host, 59, told her audience on Thursday, referring to the Santa Barbara mudslide. "So it's as devastating as it can be".

Ellen DeGeneres, who lives in Montecito, spoke emotionally on her show Wednesday about what has been happening in her community. "Massive", she said, sharing a photo of the street in front of her house that was filled with mud-covered debris from fallen trees to boulders.

"He was Christian Science his entire life, he never had medicine his whole life, he never went to a doctor, I never had a vaccination, we never had medicine growing up - and he lived to be 92".

"I love this community". Her Montecito home was struck by the California mudslides, forcing her and her wife Portia de Rossi to evacuate.

"I am blessed and I am going to do whatever I can for the rest of the community", she said.

Singer Seal has lashed out at media mogul Oprah Winfrey following her inspirational Golden Globes speech, claiming she knew about the rumors surrounding Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein but did nothing. After everything we've been through I think a lot of people thought they were just being overly cautious, but exactly what they feared happened.

"We were expecting rain this week and usually we're grateful for rain, especially in California, but not after the largest fire in the history of California. And there are families missing, there are people who are missing family members".

The 54-year-old singer took it one step further, captioning the meme that Winfrey knew about the various sexual misconduct allegations against Weinstein.

Weeks after fires devastated the area, flood waters and mudslides have destroyed homes and officials said at least eight people are missing.

"I work in LA, but I consider Montecito my home". We're going to help each other.
