Javier Hernandez could make Man United return

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are chipping in with goals but it seems Jose Mourinho does not see them as out-and-out strikers.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was ruled out until mid November, and has since been ruled out for another month through injury, while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have predominantly played on the left hand side.

Alexis Sanchez is also a target for United but Manchester City remain confident of securing a deal for the Chile worldwide either this month or at the end of the season.

According to Telegraph, Vardy would be the most expensive option as United look to bolster their attack, with Leicester City demanding £35 million fee.

Where will Alexis Sanchez be playing his football at the end of the transfer window?

Manchester United have reportedly made enquiries about Jamie Vardy and Javier Hernandez.

As per Rob Tanner of the Leicester Mercury, Leicester City are reluctant to sell their star striker for any price - perhaps unsurprisingly; however, shall there be a price for the 30-year old, it may well be an enormous sum, making the possibility of a deal look even bleaker. He was sold by Louis van Gaal to Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 before returning to the Premier League for £17m to join West Ham in the summer.

Per Wallace, Hernandez is not wanted at West Ham United, while United manager Jose Mourinho has said previously he would not have allowed him to leave Old Trafford.

Many believe that taking Hernandez back to the club could be a stroke of genius by Mourinho as the player is familiar with the surroundings and has played alongside numerous team's current stars before.
