"I'm not going to go on 'Dancing With the Stars, '" the 36-year-old former professional race care driver told People Magazine in their January 8 issue when asked about his ultimate goal for starring on the series. And while the goal of the show is to find one person to fall in love with, it's sure sounding like this season took quite an interesting turn.

The race auto driver also stayed mum about his former co-star Jef Holm, who received the final rose from Emily and sounded-off on social media last night, betting $5,000 that Arie's "Bachelor" relationship won't last. Holm and Luyendyk were Maynard's final 2, before she chose Holm. for an engagement that lasted only a few short months. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Arie added, "He would have lost his own bet, I guess".

"I came to get engaged. That's kind of a question for him more than me". "It's hard. I will say though that it was an unbelievable experience".

"That first night, I was really trying to sort out who was there for me, who is maybe expecting a different Bachelor, who was there to get an Instagram following". Arie said, "I haven't spoken to Jef since Sean's wedding and that was four years ago, but hey, I am just going to concentrate on me and I got bigger things to worry about". "That's why I think that first night, it really pushed me to give the first impression rose to Chelsea because like, she's here for me and she's making that very apparent", Arie concluded.

"It definitely made it feel a bit more real, and it was fun", he recalled. "So, I think this might be creating a problem for me".

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.

Meanwhile, Luyendyk says next week's episode, which he wines and dines Becca on an extravagant date, marks "the turning point to where I became really comfortable". See more on the show in the video below.
