Google Assistant soon will be coming to more than a dozen voice-activated speakers, including Altec Lansing, Anker Innovations, Bang & Olufsen, Braven, iHome, JBL, Jensen, JB, Klipsch, Knit Audio, Memorex, Riva Audio and SoLIS, Huffman said. Alexa's commanding mindshare was enough to bring Google to the Las Vegas event in full force, eager to encourage the world to shout its name. So far, this vision has been presented primarily through smart speaker hubs created to be placed in the centre of your home. But apparently, that wasn't the real Google Assistant.

During the holiday period both Amazon Echo and the Google Home Mini were discounted to the price of $29.

"We want to make sure that people have the broadest set of choices in terms of what kind of device they want that has Google Assistant". It's announced a range of new gadgets featuring its assistant on everything from smart displays to pressure cookers.

This year at CES has seen Google move into the smart home market in a big way with its "Hey, Google" voice assistant service taking on the dominance of Alexa by Amazon. HiSense, for example, unveiled three new lines of smart TVs, with one line being powered by Android TV, one line being powered by Roku, and another being powered by Alexa so no matter what digital assistant or smart platform you prefer, HiSense has you covered. The additional vehicle features will give auto owners ready access to Alexa and make use of the services that the digital bot is programmed to dispense. It has "Tuned by Meridian Audio" speakers on both sides, while the front-facing camera is above it.

Ribitch agreed: "Like many others, we have concerns about a device that's always on and always listening". Google doesn't appear rattled and the company is looking at its assistant's use over time.

Google's doubling down on Assistant, reportedly revamping its online store in February.

The Blade glasses feature Amazon Alexa voice controls, so users can ask to play music, hear and display news or weather and more.

This should be applicable to users who own Amazon's Echo series of smart speakers, or the Google Home lineup of smart speakers, or an Android phone that comes with Google Assistant. If you have changed your default marketplace while using an Alexa-enabled product, you will need to perform this step for each marketplace to delete all voice recordings associated with your account. "What we're seeing is heavy competition between all the personal assistants", says Gartner analyst Brian Blau.
