ITV bosses have been forced to spend £100k on a luxury hotel after Dancing On Ice stars refused to stay in a budget Holiday Inn, according to a report.

The contestants are now staying in the luxury 4-star country De Vere estate in Buckinghamshire, which is close to the studio - It costs £130 per night, per room.

An ITV spokesman confirmed Matt is off, but did not give a reason for his sudden departure - although it has been reported that the move is down to a scheduling clash.

The show has reportedly made a booking in the estate for 10 weeks, costing ITV over £100,000 with rooms going for £130 a night.

He tweeted: "Hey people thanks for loads of kind comments @dancingonice".

The new series has seen Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield return as presenters, while the judging panel consists of former Olympic skating champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, choreographer Jason Gardiner and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo.

She wrote on the micro-blogging site: 'So I'm the first to fall live on TV hahaha before even doing my routine hahaha out of the way now I hope'.

The quip caused Phil to jump to his sidekick Holly's rescue, declaring: 'Don't you snap at my girl!

This year's show includes the likes of Cheryl Baker, Kem Cetinay, Max Evans, Lemar and Donna Air, with Candice Brown finding herself in the skate off after the first show.

Nope, the show has been thrown into chaos after commentator Matt Chapman dramatically QUIT the series following just two hours behind the mic.
