Florida man arrested in Kentucky triple slaying

A Spring Hill man was arrested Friday night in Pinellas County in connection with a triple murder investigation in Louisville, Ky., officials said.

Olivo was wearing a ballistic vest and had an AK-47 assault rifle on the passenger seat of his vehicle when he was stopped in his auto by violent crimes task force officers in Florida.

The man who Louisville Metro Police Detectives said was responsible for killing his child's mother and two other people, was captured in Florida several hours after the bodies were discovered.

Olivo faces a charge of Kentucky warrant for murder, one count of tampering with physical evidence and three counts of murder.

Authorities say two juveniles were located inside the home unharmed.

Olivo was wearing a ballistic vest and had an AK-47 assault rifle in the passenger seat of his vehicle during his arrest.

Louisville Metropolitan police officers are now on their way to Florida.

After the murders in Louisville, authorities said Olivo fled the area with his 3-year-old daughter.

Olivo was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail, awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

Members of LMPD's Homicide Unit are now traveling to Florida.

The Violent Crimes Task Force is a countywide, multi-jurisdictional task force that focuses on violent crime in Pinellas County.
