The leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky says he is getting better, dismissing rumors that he was dead.

Rumours swirled earlier this week that he had died but on Saturday he was seen with his wife, Zainab, at the offices of the country's intelligence agency, the Department of State Services.

He walked towards the journalist in a white flowing gown with turban.

The deserving glorious exit was for a good and exemplary life of worship and devotion, for which he had been identified with, as well as an unwavering faith and support for Sheikh Zakzaky and his cause.

Journalist: Can we have a word with you?

Journalist: How are you feeling now?

Journalist: Do you have anything to add.

El-Zakzaky's lawyer, Mr.Femi Falana (SAN), also confirmed that he is alive although seriously ill.

The cleric and his wife had sustained gunshot wounds during their arrests. "But he is very sick". "He has developed stroke in detention", Falana had said.

"When all their evil machinations failed woefully, however, the security agents went wild and opened fire on our peaceful protesters demanding the immediate release of Sheikh Zakzaky to enable him attend to his deteriorating health while in the illegal detention of the Nigerian authorities". From Monday to Wednesday, IMN members protested in the capital, with police arresting 52 people without specifying charges.
