According to the Manchester Evening News, United have not made a fresh enquiry, but West Ham United have been linked with a move for the Belgian.

Incidentally, Dendoncker had found the back of the net against Manchester United in the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the quarter-final stages.

However, Anderlecht haven't had the best of campaigns this time around.

Vanhaezebrouck was quoted as saying by Het Belang Van Limburg: "Dendoncker has to stay. A transfer for €25-€30m is possible, but then we also need a replacement right away", he added.

Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck suggests that alleged Manchester United target Leander Dendoncker will cost around £27m in the January window.

The Belgian midfielder has been linked to a move to the red side of Manchester last summer, but the Red Devils didn't seem to push hard enough for the deal and they chose to sign Nemanja Matić instead. The former Everton man has entered the final six months of his current deal with the Red Devils, and has already rejected a new offer put forth by the club.

The Hammers have been in touch with the player's entourage and Anderlecht for Dendoncker, but Vanhaezebrouck insisted that the midfielder should continue at the club until the summer.

Despite their coach's public assertions, Anderlecht are aware that Dendoncker could opt to leave in January and they have already been working behind the scenes to identify a replacement.

Dendoncker has made 154 appearances in five seasons at Anderlecht, scoring 10 goals and is in contention to make the Belgium squad at this summer's World Cup.
