Pep Guardiola's side are unbeaten in their last 30 fixtures in the Premier League, but that is not to say that a Liverpool side minus their former star man can not end their hopes of being forever known as City's invincibles.

Guardiola's men are 15 points clear at the summit of the Premier League, but the Spaniard is expecting a stern test from their opponents on Sunday.

However, Liverpool had already caused their opponents sufficient problems prior to Mane's dismissal for Henry to think Jurgen Klopp's team can be just as unsafe this weekend. "Every single player that we want to keep, I can assure you will be playing for Tottenham Hotspur next season".

"I would have liked to see that game without Mane getting sent off because Liverpool were well in the game before that and it would have been interesting".

Klopp has had some success whilst at Liverpool since joining, but it would have been even better had he beaten Man City to the signing of both Sane and Gundogan.

"When the fans get going and the boys play like they can, it's a really tough afternoon for whoever we play".

"We saw what happened with Bristol [City], Bournemouth, Southampton, West Ham and Huddersfield - they struggled against these type of teams. If there is somebody maybe who should be angry, massively disappointed, in this case, then it could be the manager of the club the player is leaving", Klopp said. In the meantime, we'll be keeping you updated with all the buildup to the game, including team news as it's released, our live matchday thread, and post-match recaps from The Liverpool Offside staff.

After a rollercoaster of a week, managing to keep their own unbeaten streak alive while ending Manchester City's would be the flawless way to prove to the world that Liverpool are more than just Philippe Coutinho. Liverpool are capable of taking that one step further because while they have shown in the past that they are susceptible to letting in cheap goals at the back, Klopp will not take a backwards step and it may force Guardiola into a re-think about his tactics.

'They have two choices: follow what you said or follow me.

In City's last three away fixtures, they have scored just the two goals and been fortunate to scrape a goalless draw at Crystal Palace due to Ederson's last-gasp penalty save. "You have to move on though and Liverpool will always be Liverpool".

Manchester City's defence are certainly more solid than they were in Guardiola's debut campaign in Manchester. Either way, this is a Liverpool side who are capable of scoring goals in quick succession and it can be the difference between another game without defeat for City and losing for the first time in the Premier League since April 5.

Guardiola said: "I don't believe in these kind of things".

"I think he's more mature". Raheem was important for Liverpool fans. Since then, Klopp has witnessed his team play 18 matches with 11 wins and seven draws being registered during that period. 'We need to choose which world to be focused on.

All of which points to, in Henry's mind, the very real possibility of a shock on the cards at Anfield this weekend.

The last time these two teams met, City took advantage of Mané's moment of madness and slotted five goals past a 10-man Liverpool.
