It has been spotted that the messaging platform is testing a button in group conversations that will one admin of the group to dismiss or demote the other admins of that group.

It's now being tested in the beta software and could be rolled out to all users in the coming months, WABetaInfo wrote. Right now, when an administrator wants to remove a fellow administrator from the post, it is required to first directly remove the concerned administrator from the group and then add him or her again. By tapping on it, one administrator can remove the other from the admin position in a jiffy. "At present, WhatsApp is developing this feature for iOS, and it will be available soon for all users, instead of for Android it is already enabled by default in the newest WhatsApp Google Play beta for Android 2.18.12", added the report. This feature is spotted on WhatsApp Android Beta version 2.18.12 and can be found under Group Info section. This feature makes it easy for admins to demote or dismiss an existing administrator in a group. It allows admins to share media and chat even when other members are restricted.

If you decide to use this new feature on some, they will go from king of the group chat castle to a lowly serf with none of the privileges of leadership.

Anyone who is ejected from a group will be sent a rather brutal message telling them it's protected by end-to-end encryption, which means they won't be able to contribute.

Well, with all these powers vested in the group admins, we wonder if other participants would like being there.
