Joshua, the World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation champion, is 20-0 with 20 knockouts and according to the BBC almost set for a March 31 bout at Cardiff against Parker, the World Boxing Organization champion who is 24-0 with 18 knockouts.

Before the first scheduled bout, Ortiz was found to have taken two banned diuretics that are often used as masking agents for steroids.

The contest which will be promoted by Lou DiBella on behalf of Premier Boxing Champions will be televised by Showtime in the United States, is arguably one of the most anticipated bouts in the opening quarter of 2018.

When the original fight with 38-year-old Ortiz was postponed, Wilder then defended his WBC title against fellow American Bermane Stirmane and won with a first-round knockout.

November's original fight was postponed after Ortiz failed a drug test. Ortiz (28-0, 24 KOs) is being billed as his toughest opponent.

They were supposed to meet in November but Ortiz tested positive for a banned substance and "The Bronze Bomber" instead faced Bermane Stiverne. "This is a new day for you", Wilder told Ortiz in the ring that night.

Wilder entered the ring and said: "I think you're one of the best and I want to prove I'm one of the best. I'm gonna whoop your ass".
