New ventures for "The Bannon Cannon" include a skincare line called Blotch and a line of "wrinkled bar jackets" called Frumpers.

The full cold open can be watched on the SNL app and soon on the Youtube channel of SNL.

In the past, a cast member didn't play Bannon, instead having the political figure played by a grim reaper character with a skull face mask. On Saturday night, during an "Morning Joe" segment, Murray came out in a black hood to big cheers from the audience. "It's time for America to slide down the Bannon-ster.", he said. "The Bannon dynasty is dawning", stated the fake Bannon.

Kate McKinnon's Mika Brzezinski asked Bannon what he's doing now since leaving the White House.

"I'm working on a web series for Crackle. It's called 'Cucks In Cars Getting Coffee, '" he said.

"You know what? C'mon, you know you're done, it's over", Armisen as Wolff said.

Murray was sat with SNL alum Fred Armisen, who played author Michael Wolff, as two guests for MSNBC's morning show Morning Joe.

Murray's Bannon didn't let his moment go by without reminding everyone he was the one who convinced the country to elect Trump, though, and he threatened to "do it again". In Murray's sleaziest tone, Bannon said he's already got some king-making prospects: Logan Paul, Martin Shkreli and "the Subway guy, Jared Fogle". "He's back. He's electable".

It's been a while since SNL has been on the air, and that usually means plenty of Donald Trump things dissect.

The conversation got more interesting when cast member Leslie Jones joined in as Oprah. Winfrey gave an impassioned speech at the Golden Globes, which has sparked talk about whether she might run for president, to which Trump later said that he would beat her if she ran, but he doesn't "think she's going to run".

Saturday Night Live returned from the holiday break with Sam Rockwell hosting the show.
