Conte: Chelsea Were Tired Against Better Leicester City

Cahill's clearance was eventually completed by a covering RĂ¼diger, which gave Cahill the opportunity to take a seat and receive some treatment.

Chelsea have lost just one of their last 11 meetings with Leicester City in the Premier League (W9 D1 L1) - losing 1-2 in December 2015 at the King Power Stadium.

But Blues boss Antonio Conte had a different reason for his sides lack of determination against the Foxes.

The Foxes looked the much better side in the first half having kept possession very well as Chelsea remain clueless in the attacking third.

Japanese striker Shinji Okazaki nearly gifted Leicester the ideal start eight minutes in when the attacker was teed up by Chilwell down the left win from close range, but despite being six-yards from goal, the former Mainz player sliced his shot high over the bar.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has admitted that his side struggled to keep up with the pace of Leicester City in Saturday's 0-0 Premier League draw at Stamford Bridge.

Asked if he would extend his contract with Chelsea, Conte added: "In this case, I think the club has to decide to send me away".

In the 58th minute, with the scores level at 0-0, Conte strangely made a decision to replace Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas.

The 32-year-old defender was on the tail with Vardy over a high ball at the edge of Chelsea box.

Morata managed just three touches in the opposition box all game - his worst return from a completed Premier League game this season - while only four completed crosses from 19 attempted illustrated the wayward service on offer.

Changing that feeling won't be easy.

Conte recalled most of his big guns for the midweek Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, but were unable to get the better of a makeshift Arsenal rearguard which featured the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers.

Somehow Conte must find time to rest and reinvigorate his squad - before draws turn to defeats.
