The new story takes place four years after the events of Assassin's Creed Origins, and sees the assassins clash with Roman soldiers occupying Sinai. The Hidden Ones expansion, meanwhile, promises an all-new story, a new region and an increase in the level cap from 40 to 45.

The Hidden Ones DLC has been given a January 23 release date on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Players are able to choose between free roaming or guided tours curated by historians and Egyptologists. People can discover and explore a world free of conflict, time pressure or gameplay constraints, where storyline and quests are not active and the world of Ancient Egypt evolves into a combat-free living museum.

A new, free title update for Assassin's Creed Origins is available today ahead of the DLC's release.

The first quest in the expansion, Incoming Threat, will be available to all players but it's not clear yet whether it takes place in the existing regions or the two new areas. The Curse of the Pharaohs focuses on Egyptian mythology, pitting players against famous pharaohs and Egyptian beasts, as they investigate the cause of the curse that has brought the dead pharaohs back to life. The Curse of the Pharaohs will increase the level cap to 55 while also introducing new outfits and gear that is themed around classic Egyptian mythology into the game.

It will also be offered as a separate, standalone experience through Steam and Uplay on February 20.

Next up is the second major DLC pack, entitled The Curse of the Pharaohs. The Curse of the Pharaohs will be released on 6th March. No wording on the price point for the pack, but players can hop into Assassin's Creed Origins now and check out the pack.
