WBO heavyweight champion Parker will fight WBA and IBF belt holder Joshua in a unification clash in Cardiff on March 31, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Joshua has promised "fireworks" and reminded the WBO champion: 'This isn't a three round fight based on skills, it's a 12 round fight based on heart'.

Showtime is linked to unbeaten World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, who will defend his belt March 3 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center against Cuba's Luis Ortiz. "I am looking forward to it, training camp is under way and before you know it March 31 will be upon us".

New Zealander Parker feels that facing Nigerian-born Briton Joshua, who holds the International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Organisation (IBO) heavyweight titles, would be just a ceremony. "It was grueling. It was interesting, and we both left the ring with masses of respect", Joshua said in a prepared statement.

Tyson Fury could come calling after the Parker fight at 7/2, while it's 8/1 for the Olympic gold medallist to renew his rivalry with Brixton puncher Dillian Whyte. In terms of what's been said, I take it with a pinch of salt and roll with the punches'.

He'll be respectful after I whoop him.

Joshua says he will not shake Parker's hand, Parker and his team have suggested Joshua has a "glass chin", so expect some early verbal blows between them.

Both Joshua and Parker are bidding to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis.
