Donovan Jackson led Iowa State's team in scoring with 19 points, while shooting 53.8% from the field (making 7 of 13 attempts). Iowa State canned almost 51 percent of its field goal tries but simply couldn't piece together stops against TCU.

This season, it's a little different. TCU is ranked No. 24 in the country and holds a 1-4 record in the Big 12. The Frogs snapped a six-game losing skid against Texas and grabbed their first win over a top-10 team since 2009 as junior center Jordan Moore led TCU with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting and also added five blocks, including two in the final two minutes.

There's one similarity though between the two seasons and it's that TCU still has Brodziansky and Williams on its roster and starting lineup.

TCU pushed the pace with 10 points off of fast breaks versus an opposing 4 points off of fast breaks.

"It's definitely a process guarding off the ball", Wigginton said.

It was a rough night defensively for the Cyclones last season at TCU. The Horned Frogs shot 56.9 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from the 3-point line.

Iowa State returns to Hilton Coliseum on Saturday for a showdown against No. 17 West Virginia. No. 8 Texas Tech plays at Iowa State - which broke through with its first Big 12 win on Saturday over Baylor - while the Bears play at league-leading Kansas. And despite all the talk that the Jayhawks might be vulnerable in 2018, they're outscoring opponents by 15.1 points a game.

Frogs face Iowa State Wednesday. Their four Big 12 losses are by a combined 11 points, and their only previous conference win was by three points in overtime.

The Horned Frogs got off to a very impressive start this season, winning their first 12 games.

The Cyclones come in on a high note after topping the Baylor Bears in their last game, 75-65.

Brodziansky shot 11 of 13 for his third 20-point game in five games.

With Jaylen Fisher out for an indeterminate amount of time, somebody on the TCU Horned Frogs had to step up.

"We're going to play in an unbelievable atmosphere up there", Dixon said. "If someone drives to the basket, not help too much, but be good in our rotations and know who we're guarding and know our spots on defense". Iowa State's effective field goal percentage was their biggest advantage over Baylor.

"Collectively, five guys need to do a great job as a team to defend them", Prohm said.

Wigginton said it's been a change in mindset for him on the defensive end.
