Lindsay Lohan Feels Her Past Distracts From Doing 'Batgirl'

As a kid actor in the early 2000s, Lindsay won hearts for her roles in The Parent Trap and Mean Girls but then on, it was a downward spiral of substance abuse, drunk driving and bad behavior on sets which saw her largely absent from the film industry.

Lindsay Lohan really, really wants to become the DC Extended Universe's Bat Girl. While campaigning to her 9.3 million Twitter followers seems like a good step in winning over the public's vote, being Lindsay Lohan is a double edged sword. In a post on the micro-blogging site last January 16, the actress placed her photo alongside with that of Batgirl, possibly trying to convince her Twitter followers that she is flawless for the role. Whedon did say before that he wanted an unknown actress for the role, and Lohan's far from that sort of description.

"I don't like when people always bring up and rehash the past. This is actually quite a long time ago if you think about it now", she said on Wendy Williams' US chatshow. "I am going to dialogue with her, and then we'll see who joins that later on", Whedon said a year ago.

Lindsay Lohan announced her new makeup line on The Wendy Williams Show when asked about juggling traveling to and from the United States to her new home, Dubai. "It really distracts people, and they only think about the negative and I don't think that's a way to move forward in life".

Lohan is launching her own makeup range.

Although no official information has been revealed about Batgirl, the film was confirmed to be on Warner Bros.' DCEU slate at SDCC 2017, which means progress is being made behind the scenes and that it should go into development sometime in the near future.
