Brazil superstar Neymar stole the show and had already scored three times to help the runaway Ligue 1 leaders take a 7-0 lead.

The Parc des Princes crowd witnessed a masterclass from Neymar as he set up two goals and scored another four in the 8-0 rout against Dijon.

Cavani's goal against Dijon means he has now equalled Zlatan Ibrahimovic as PSG's all-time leading scorer in all competitions on 156 goals.

Di Maria got his brace in the 14th minute with a finish from close range after being teed up by Neymar, 2-0.

Cavani and Ibrahimovic head a list of iconic figures in PSG's all-time scoring charts, with former Portugal worldwide Pauleta behind the pair with 109 goals.

Just to rub salt into the wound, Neymar buried a penalty past Reynet in the 83rd minute.

The Brazilian hit two more spectacular goals in the second half to complete his hat-trick, before Kylian Mbappe came off the bench to hit a seventh goal.

Neymar allowed Cavani to take over free kick duties shortly after the hour mark and the striker - now in search of the outright record - nearly took full advantage with an effort which flew narrowly over the crossbar.

The Brazilian was at hit again in the 73rd, slaloming past six Dijon players before finding the back of the net with a powerful shot from just inside the box.

As it was there was no further damage suffered by Dijon as PSG maintained their 100% home record in all competitions this season to extend their lead at the top of the table back to 11 points.
