Sledgehammer Games has deployed another patch for Call of Duty: WWII, this time zeroing in on balancing some of the game's weapons, which means tweaks to the Lee Enfield, the Kar98k, the Combat Shotgun and the Sawed-Off Shotgun, among others.

The Resistance Event will take place in WWII from January 23 to February 27-and it'll feature a ton of free content. This new Division is free for all players before and after the event, adding to the Infantry, Airborne, Armored, Mountain, and Expeditionary Division already found in the game. This Division focuses on the element of surprise and close-quarters combat.

New weapons, including the Volkssturmgewehr rifle and Orso submachine gun, will also be added to WWII as a part of The Resistance Event. "The Resistance Division also includes a new pistol, which can be used by all Divisions, the 9mm SAP pistol". With it, players will be able to use a tactical knife with their pistols, learn the direction of nearby enemies, and more.

Demolition: Continuing with the Resistance theme, Demolition is a spin on Search & Destroy with respawns available. Faster-paced and more accessible, this classic favorite will return for two weeks during The Resistance. The second mode is Prop Hunt, returning from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, where it made its first appearance. He has an all-new Resistance-themed look, and has brought some new gear secured by these freedom fighters back with him.

The Resistance Event begins January 23rd, which will give players a full week to get geared up for The Resistance DLC which is set to arrive first on PlayStation 4 on January 30th.

The Resistance will also provide some free loot for your loadout.
