To celebrate the 2018 Winter Olympics coming to PyeongChang, in its home country of South Korea, Samsung has created a wonderful limited edition Galaxy Note 8. "Through years of experience, Getty Images specialist sports photographers have an original perspective that will ensure they capture the best and most unique Olympic moments as they happen", said Ken Mainardis, Senior Vice President, Editorial, Getty Images.

The device comes with a white rear, white S-Pen, gold accents, and a custom software theme.

Boo and hiss. Samsung said the release marks 20-years as an Olympic partner, while spouting some other guff about helping to spead the Olympic Spirit.

Samsung will also give the limited edition Galaxy Note 8 to Paralympians participating at the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. The limited edition variant will also have preloaded PyeongChang 2018 themed wallpapers and apps "to help cultivate the utmost Olympic Games experience".

Top performers will qualify for spots on Team BC for the 2020 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Thunder Bay, Ont., which will be the qualifier for the 2021 Special Olympics World Winter Games.

Displaying commitment to the Paralympic Movement, Samsung will provide smartphones to all Paralympians at the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. But no matter how you slice it, Samsung's decision to gift these limited edition phones to all participating Olympians and staff members is admirable-we are sure those receiving one will be appreciative.

Samsung also plan to provide a limited edition Galaxy Note8 to each competitor at the Winter Paralympic Games, scheduled to take place between March 8 and 18. The company has distributed 12,000 Galaxy S7 Edge gadgets to athletes at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The rear camera includes two 12MP sensors, while the first one is a wide angled lens with f/1.7 aperture, the secondary camera includes a telephoto zoom lens with f/2.4 aperture.
