There will be 2 new, temporary game modes coming with The Resistance.

Call of Duty: WWII players are being called to battle in the new Resistance Community Event set to kick off on the 23rd January. Let's take a look at what you can expect in-game.

Prop Hunt is the features game mode, requiring players to "master the skills of stealth".

For players that felt like Call of Duty: WWII lacked variety in weapons, the Resistance event will include three new weapons: Orso (A capable looking SMG), Volkssturmgewerh (An Assault-rifle with a rather scary name), and finally the Combat Knife. The event includes limited-time game mode events and rotating 2XP playlists across multiplayer, War Mode, and Zombies. The second mode is Prop Hunt, returning from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, where it made its first appearance.

Once the Resistance Community Event ends, the weapons will no longer be available to unlock, so players will need to grab them before the event ends and Butcher goes off on his merry way.

To celebrate the announcement of the new event, a brand new trailer was also released. It will be available permanently and focuses on the element of surprise and delivering assistance in close-quarters combat. With it, players will be able to use a tactical knife with their pistols, learn the direction of nearby enemies, and more.

Call of Duty: WWII originally launched with what felt like a low amount of content. Players can earn a total of five Resistance Supply Drop by logging in during each week of the event, and note that free Supply Drops do not carry over, so you must log in to redeem them each week. The event will run from January 23 to February 27!
