Dana White on CM Punk and Brock Lesnar in UFC

While Mayweather trying MMA still is a fantasy, White said he will give former WWE star CM Punk another shot at his dream of being a cage fighter.

UFC President Dana White is a busy man, especially with the UFC celebrating its 25 Anniversary in 2018.

However the UFC chief did not say that Irishman McGregor had already been stripped of his belt, despite repeated questions from the media.

But the 29-year-old's time as a two-weight champion was short-lived as he was soon stripped of the featherweight belt.

McGregor hasn't been seen in the Octagon since UFC 205, when he defeated Eddie Alvarez to win the UFC Lightweight Title. I run my business, I keep rolling and that's it.

While fans and critics alike respected CM Punk for taking the chance to fight in the UFC, many felt he was only a celebrity who didn't have the credentials to fight for the promotion. White also addressed Conor McGregor's future with UFC and whether Floyd Mayweather will make the jump to UFC. He does not have a date or an opponent in mind but is "working on it".

The Second City Savior had one unsuccessful bout against Mickey Gall at UFC 203 but since then he hasn't been in the Octagon in an official sense.

"I like that guy. He's a good dude", White said. "I'm going to give it to him".

But hopefully, if CM Punk can get another shot in the UFC it will have much better results for him.

White also said he believes WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will fight again. He can return once the ban is over.

The wording of "one more" might lead some to analyze Dana White's words to mean that CM Punk is getting another shot before they realize that this level of competition in MMA isn't for him. "I just think Brock loves to fight".
