J&K: Terrorists hurl grenade at Pulwama police station, 4 policemen injured

"We have received eight persons with splinter injuries majority are policemen", a doctor at the district hospital Pulwama said.

Four policemen were injured after terrorists hurled grenade towards Pulwama police station that exploded inside a Tehsil office in Pulwama in south Kashmir.

The blast also shattered windshields of several cars parked in the area. "Six of them were discharged, and two were shifted to the Base hospital in Srinagar", said Mohammad Aslam, senior superintendent of police, Pulwama.

Soon after the attack, police and paramilitary forces rushed to the spot and launched a manhunt to nab the attackers. However, the militants managed to escape from the scene.

Earlier this week, five militants of he Jaish-e-Mohammed were gunned down as they were trying to infiltrate through the LoC at Uri in north Kashmir.
