The film's release aims to cash in on the strong performance of some recent Bollywood releases in the Middle Kingdom, most notably those featuring Aamir Khan whose latest, Secret Superstar recorded a strong opening in China over the weekend collecting $27 million.

Eros International, in association with Chinese film company E Stars Films Ltd, is all set to release Bajrangi Bhaijaan in China on March 2 on more than 8000 screens.

Given the success of Indian film releases in China, the studio and the makers are confident of the movie's box office potential in China, one of more promising worldwide markets for Indian films.

Being the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2015, Salman Khan's critically acclaimed film Bajrangi Bhaijaan is now looking towards China as its next stop. "Our Indo-China co-productions are still in the making, meanwhile what better film than Bajrangi Bhaijaan starring one of India's most loved superstars that weaves the universal story of cross-border friendship to release in a market like China".

"Bajrangi" is being imported into China on flat fee (aka buyout) terms, which have been the norm for the handful of Indian films to have screened in China in recent years. After Aamir Khan's Dangal did wonders there, following it up with his recent Secret Superstar, now Salman Khan is following suit. The film broke all records in China previously. It also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor Khan in key roles. The trade guru also shared Bajrangi Bhaijaan's official poster for the Chinese market. Now we await to see how Salman Khan's hit film will preform in the country too.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan stars Salman as a simple, determined Hanuman devotee who undertakes the hard task of getting a young, mute Pakistani girl back to her motherland and uniting her with her family.
