The company is now going to release the first smartphone with an in-display fingerprint sensor in a couple of days. It is promised by Vivo that on January 25th the device will be launched with this feature. Vivo will incorporate the same in the X20 Plus model from a year ago and will launch it as the Vivo X20 Plus UD. Vivo is using the latest Synaptics Clear ID FS9500 sensor. The sensor will be placed between the glass panel and the OLED screen. Vivo may launch the X20 Plus UD with different moniker in the Indian market very soon.

Specs wise, the X20 Plus UD features a 6.43-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The handset will apparently be powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The device comes with a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 5MP sensor. One camera will come with a 12 megapixel sensor and the other one with a 5 megapixel sensor. For the front, both of them sports a 12-megapixel shooter with soft LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. Both the cameras offer great photography experience and allow you to record quality videos from the device. In order to work, you'll need to wait for a fingerprint icon to appear on the display, after which you'll need to place your finger on it. With the help of biometric giant Synaptics and its recently-announced ClearID in-screen fingerprint sensor, the Chinese company just brought us the first consumer smartphone equipped with the said fingerprint reader - at least in China (for now). The company also showcased this under display fingerprint scanning technology at the CES 2018 held earlier month in Las Vegas, Nevada. Thanks to all the rumors and leaks from which we are able to get this much information about this unannounced highly anticipated smartphone. The Vivo X20 Plus was announced back in September past year with really thin bezels, and we were actually able to play around with the Vivo X20 Plus UD at CES 2018, so the design is basically confirmed, as that was the final design of the phone.
