Before the Mi A1's global launch, the smartphone was launched in China as the Mi 5X which came with exactly the same internals apart from the software.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 and Mi 6X could be among the first devices to be released by the company in 2018 but the second half of the year could also be quite interesting as the Mi Mix 3 and Mi Max 3 are also appearing in images.

The company is reported to launch the much-rumoured Xiaomi Mi 7 smartphone at the annual tech show. The Mi A1 came with stock Android 7.0 Nougat and has since been updated to Android Oreo. The leak also suggests that Xiaomi Mi 7 may support wireless charging. On the rear end of the smartphone, there is a horizontally aligned dual camera setup along with an LED flash. Another leaked image by CNMO shows the front side of the device with thin bezel at the top. Considering that the Xiaomi Mi 6X and Mi A2 are mentioned, that probably means that the company will not be releasing the Xiaomi Mi 6c, the Mi 5c's successor, but it remains to be seen what will happen. The company has not given any details or hints on what it plans to unveil but rumors are saying that Xiaomi might unveil the Mi 7 there. A render from Naijatech, which cited a Weibo leak, shows the back of the device. A traditional fingerprint sensor is also present at the back of the device. According to the image, the smartphone may come with 18:9 aspect ratio display Also seen at the back is that the handset may feature an iPhone X-like vertical cameras setup. The case renders show a device with a large screen and two cutouts in the back cover. To remind you, Surge S1 was based on 28nm process and includes eight Cortex-A53 cores with four clocked at 2.2GHz and the other four at 1.4GHz. Also, some reports have claimed the presence of a 6-inch bezel-less 18:9 OLED display on the Xiaomi Mi 7.

For the camera department, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is said to feature dual rear cameras with a combination of 19MP + 19MP sensor with an aperture of f1.7 and 4x optical zoom. We have found no official words about the devices or their launch from company's official sources.
