Philadelphia Eagles fan who collided with pole in subway is OK

By now, you've probably already seen that Eagles fan who ran into a pole as he was running alongside a subway train.

The mishap occurred while Desai was heading to the game after having a few drinks while watching the New England Patriots defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship game.

The video of 42-year-old Eagles season-ticket holder Jigar Desai slamming into a concrete bar went viral on Sunday night, with many wondering if he was seriously injured. Captured by a cell phone video, the moment went viral.

"Yeah, I hit the pole, but the passion is there", Desai told the Associated Press on Monday. We are good fans.


The Eagles will face the Patriots, the reigning National Football League champions, in the Super Bowl on February 4.

One video shows unruly Eagles fans throwing bottles and beer cans at Vikings fans outside Philly's Lincoln Financial Field while another shows police wading into a crowd of Eagles fans to put a halt to a bloody fight.
