At the same time, Williams ordered the coroner to release autopsy reports of the 58 people Paddock killed at an outdoor concert on October 1 when he opened fire with high-powered rifles from his 32nd-floor Mandalay Bay suite. He shot himself as officers closed in on his hotel room after he stopped firing at the Route 91 country music festival across the street from the Mandalay Bay.

It said that the Clark County coroner, John Fudenberg, had found anti-anxiety medication in Paddock's system, but the Review-Journal did not make clear whether further details of that finding were disclosed in the new autopsy report. But there was nothing unusual in his physical condition, even after a microscopic brain examination conducted by experts at Stanford University.

The autopsy was released in response to a lawsuit brought by The Associated Press and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

He told the Review-Journal that he does not intend to keep his brother's ashes at his home in Orlando. The motivation for the shooting has been a mystery since Paddock opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay casino-hotel, despite intensive investigation by local police and federal authorities.

The report will not be released to other media until Monday to comply with the court order, Kulin said.

The autopsy also confirmed that the gunman, Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old retired real estate investor and high-stakes gambler, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, the newspaper said.

A judge ruled on Friday the media can not release the autopsy report of officer Charleston Hartfield who died in the 1 October shooting. The autopsy record was one of 58 that another judge ordered the Clark County coroner's office to release last week to the two news organizations.

The released documents black-out the case numbers, names, ages, hometowns and racial characteristics of victims of the October 1 shooting on the Las Vegas Strip.
