President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to meet All Progressives Congress chieftains at his country home in Daura, Katsina state today, a day after he received the party's governors.

The source disclosed that the president is very anxious about the rising tones of Nigerians asking him not to contest for 2019 presidential election and would want to ask the governors not to allow the reconciliation process of the party on the hands of Tinubu alone but to contribute to enable the party have a soft landing during the 2019 elections.

The visit is believed to be in connection with last week's death of two of his close relatives.

President Buhari yesterday evening arrived Daura on a private visit after a working visit to Kaduna State. Both had in separate statements, advised him against seeking re-election.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Chief Niyi Akande had on February 13 met with President Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

A source said "very serious political developments", would be discussed at the meeting.

"She died at about the age of 56, leaving behind 10 children, four of them male and six female, including one of President Buhari's Personal Assistants, Mohammed Sabi'u Tunde", Shehu had said.

According to Daily Trust, the president and the governors were earlier scheduled to meet at the Presidential Villa in Abuja today, but that the meeting was rescheduled to take place in Daura since Buhari had gone there.

He, however, declined comment on the agenda of the meeting.
