Raheem Sterling is enjoying the best season of his career with Manchester City.

The England worldwide has been one of the stars of City's outstanding season, scoring 20 goals for Pep Guardiola's side.

With that in mind, it seems odd to learn that there are some suggesting he might leave The Etihad in the months ahead.

The England winger's long-term future at the Etihad Stadium has become the subject of renewed speculation following claims that the club have not yet begun talsk over a new contract.

For Spanish super club Real Madrid however this campaign has been slightly disappointing, and the fact that they now find themselves 14 points behind their eternal rivals Barcelona is bordering on unforgivable.

The 23-year-old will have two years to run on his current deal at the end of the season.

With that in mind it is unsurprising that manager Zinedine Zidane is in the market for a superstar player in the summer, especially with Gareth Bale struggling through injury and Karim Benzema in poor form.

Real Madrid could renew their interest in Raheem Sterling as he awaits talks on a new Manchester City contract, according to reports.

Sterling, who is said to be on wages of £180,000 (R2.93 million) per week, will reportedly demand a big pay rise at the Citizens' in the coming months, a reward he feels he is more than worthy of receiving.
